Adding a new event

We start by adding an event at specific time on one day only. Once this is set up, you will be given options about how often and when the event should be repeated if at all.

Event title (30 charcters max)
This appears in large font on the screen as the top line of the event. Try to keep this short and snappy so it is easy to undstand at first glance.

Description (100 chracters max)
Add any extra reminders associtaed with the event like "remember to take some money".

Background colour
If you give each event a different background, it makes it easier to read the list of events for the day quickly.

Important note about security

Please remember that anything you put on the screen will be visible to anyone who visits the room where it is located. While this will present no more risk than a post-it note you might put up in the same room, you should take the same precautions as you would with a post-it. We recommend that you avoid including any of the following in your screen content

  • Bank, building society or savings account numbers
  • Passwords
  • References to the location of any cash or valuables
  • Reference to any lengthy periods when the property might be empty (eg holidays, hospital stays)
